Keeping American soldiers in Iraq will not prevent anyone from nuking New York and DC. Is that hard to understand?

In the real world, any terrorists who want to try an attack in the US could be trying an attack in the US right now. Having US troops risk their lives in Iraq does nothing to prevent terrorist attack in the US or elsewhere. Bombings in London and Madrid (did Rumsfeld forget about those?) have already demonstrated this.
