Special FX are top notch I mean it's the best translation of a comic book visual to screen yet. Acting and dialogue are good...Downey chews up the screen..Bridges is evil...Paltrow is smooth...Howard is smooth... This movie is fun...not dark...action adventure...kinda James Bond...kinda Batman...moves right along with little dead time... dig it if you looking for a fun movie..

I mean, there were real bad guys in the Middle East...evil men...plenty of explosions....technological advancement in weapons development is the key..

Most superhero flicks fall short when the guy isn't in the costume, but in this case, Robert Downey Jr. was a compelling character even when he was in his business suit. Of course, you must be able to completely suspend all reason (like any laws of physics) to appreciate this movie. I was surprised to see Jeff Bridges in the role of the bad guy. He was quite believable.
