My modem was fried. In talking with the cable company about my problem though...I found I could get mega bandwidth for only $10 more a month. Just did a speed test and I'm screaming in a 35,000+. beep beep I can download the Library of Congress now...just like I always wanted. yaaaaaaaay

I drop packets right and left. I get the Try Again screen every other click or so. Fuck Comcast. Fuck them royally up the ass. My only other alternative here is CenturyTel Phone DSL, and CenturyTel has ALWAYS sucked, unlike Comcast, who used to be great for me. I have CenturyTel DSL at work, and YouTube videos are irregular. Not to mention that Comcast Cable TV is pretty good, so the wife would kill me if I dropped that. Life Sucks. And then you die. Their expectations will meet with vacuity
