My first impression was......
The Germans were making planes out of wood at the end of the war. Where'd they get all the metal necessary to build a rocket to the moon? Then I thought, "Where did all the resources come from to build such an elaborate base on the moon?" The final kicker was the motorcycle and side car riding on the moon.

MP3AA Well, I expected nothing less from MP3AA. It is not his fault, that he was not taught in school, that in the year 1942 a German A4-Rocket ("Aggregat 4") took off in Peenemünde/Germany and made it into space. There were even more ballistic space flights until 1945, when an improved model reached a distance of more than 200km from earth. The A4 rocket was engineered by a team of german rocket-scientists (i.e. Max Valier and Arthur Rudolph) under the lead of SS-Sturmbannführer Wernher von Braun and reached a speed of Mach 5 (4824 km/h - ~ 3,000mph.).
("Aggregat 4" - Rocket in 1942) The same SS-dude and elite-NSDAP member, including some of his collegues, were brought against their will to the USA as POW's and had to engineer and supervise the whole american space and moon-landing programs. Since the last SS-dudes are either dead or too old to engineer, the american space crafts like the Columbia are more some sort of error-generators than reliable spacecrafts. Ain't it? |

Having visited what's left of the Mittelwerk V-2 rocket factory and its associated labor camp, Mittelbau-Dora, I'm pretty sure that Wernher von Braun
should have been hanged.

Hey, over a million moving parts, all built by the lowest bidder (or the highest-paid lobbyist)! It's the Corporate American Way. RS |

Well, I expected nothing less from MP3AA. Well, it's not my fault you can't understand Engrish!
Ahem, maybe you didn't get it that this is about the Nazi's going to the moon? In 1945? When the war was lost and supplies were minimal? Screw a rocket into space (barely). Unmanned. Shit, you fuckers couldn't even send a rocket to the US let alone the moon, or you certainly would have. Maybe they left that lesson out at your kindergarten class.

Dudes, the American Space Program was based very very heavily on stolen, um, convinced, German scientists and technology.
I would dare to say that if the Germans had won WW2, we would have extensive technical development on the moon right now. (Of course, other things might not be so great.)
Their expectations will meet with vacuity

Americans seem to be sooo fascinated by the Nazis! Sad. But understandable, cause it was the last time your country did something good. And still you have to
exaggerate the enemy from the past. Saddest fact is that you copied so much from them....and some of you still don´t recognize it!

This film is not being made by Americans, Chris. Energia Productions is in Finland. http://www.energiaproductions.fi/
Ya'll need to see this for what it really is. It's a bunch of college friends who are all movie geeks, writing and creating their own films, with no resources other than their own talents and their friends. Youtube is kinda like an OMD for filmmakers, except that it's a lot easier for the ones with real talent to get noticed. Additionally, it looks like they intend this to be a dark comedy. The premise is preposterous, but so was Spaceballs. If the comedy is good, the premise doesn't matter. check out their other film, Star Wreck... http://www.starwreck.com/ |
