- The western U.S. is beautiful. We drove from Las Vegas, through the north western corner of Arizona, and 4 hours into Utah. Utah is stunning, and I hope you all get a chance to go there sometime.
- I was surprised to find that the highway speed limit was 75 and the 2-lane was 65 in places. In Michigan, all 2-lanes are 55 and the highway is capped at 70.
- We rented a Nissan Versa (not by choice). It ended up being a decent car that averaged 35 MPG (I coasted down a lot of mountains).
- Las Vegas took me for $40. No big deal, but it took all of 10 minutes of playing nickel slots to loose all we were willing to loose. After hiking Zion and Bryce for 6 days, it was very strange to be in the city. Cesar's Palace (and all of the Strip) is an amazing place, but I don't care if I ever go back there again.
- I'd go back to Zion and Bryce again in a heartbeat.

Well I'm dressed and ready to go back to work today, but my heart's still in Utah. The green grass of my yard really looks weird after seeing so much
rock and sand.
Oh well, I've gotta earn some cash to pay next month's massive credit card bill! |
