My vote goes to Bill Richardson, but if he wants a lock on the democratic vote, Hillary would be a wise choice.

Jim Webb should probably be on the list.

Bill Richardson would be the smart move, I think. Keeps his message of CHANGE. plus....brings more of the Hispanic vote.
Also, it is assassination protection. |

a name I've heard a lot for the political benefit (come election time in a swing state) has been Ted Strickland, governor of Ohio.

I've heard that too Rick.
I sure hope he doesn't pick Hillary. |

I think choosing Hillary would be political suicide. He'd spend his presidency looking over his shoulder. "Her Superfluous Excellence" would not
be somethgin Hillary would cop to.
I think the election matter a lot less about who Obama would choose than it does who McCain chooses. If he picks COndolezza RIce and she accepts, it's a done deal. She covers the black vote, the women vote, and the Bush conservative base that thinks McCain is too far to the center.

From CNN Ticker Producer Alexander Mooney
A majority of Democrats want Clinton to be vice president.
(CNN) - Even as the prolonged Democratic presidential race has become more divisive in its final stretch, a majority of Democrats want Barack Obama to choose Hillary Clinton as his running mate, according to a new poll out Tuesday.
Internet traditions? As it happens, I am aware of all of them. Why do you ask?

Lots of happy talk from both candidates and Mrs. O lately, so I'm thinkin' it's close to a done deal.

I'm thinkin you're right.
It may be the best thing to get a Democrat elected. Disaffected Hillary voters could be a big force to help elect another fucking Repube. If something should happen to Obama after he takes office, the drama and suspicion of Clintons would be over the top, I can hear Rush now. Sigh. Hope he heeds Secret Service advice. Of course, she also serves as a deterrent to a large population of otherwise determined would-be Oswalds.
Their expectations will meet with vacuity

personally i don't have a problem with hillary being VP. hell, i would vote for her to be president if she were the nominee. i think an obama/clinton
ticket would be a great historical event.

I think Obama is wise enough to use Hillary wisely.

no way! people have had enough with bush and co. i think putting condie on the ticket would be a bad, bad move for mccain. the black/female demographic is not without politics - you think lifelong democrat black women will vote for mccain/rice just because she's a black woman? no way. |

I'd vote for Hillary too..
And it would be historic and kind of cool.. The reason I like Richardson is that it puts to rest any bullshit the GOP has to say about either Hillary or Baracks inexperience in foreign policy.. |

This confidence in Hillary totally amazes me.
I truly don't get it. After years of "the president lied!," half the democrats are supporting someone they know to be a compulsive liar. Granted. Lying about big things is worse than lying about little things. But doesn't one lead to the other? I'm inclined to think so. |

I would go for obama as president only if Clinton was VP

Heres the deal...the majority of the American public would never vote for Hillary Clinton. Her negative ratings are high. Her positive rating is like 37%.
Republican crossover votes would be nil. Democrats like me would abandon him. Obama would have all the Bill and Hillary crap wrapped around him....plus
he's already got the racists against him. Most importantly...it kills Obama's whole message...which is change.
If Obama picks Hillary for VP...I'd put a McCain sign up in my yard and donate money to him.

It never ceases to amaze me the hypocritical masses.
On one hand you have people stating "She has the female vote", or "He has the black vote". Then, you have the racists and sexists that wouldn't vote for a black or woman. I don't see a sexist or racist difference in either. I mean, if you'd vote for them because they were black or female, voting against them for the same reason is no different in my book.
