I'm close to offering my tAcology multimedia project on Bit Torrent which will include audio/video from all of my bands over the years. It will come with a
donate paypal account, which is how we'll see revenue, if at all. The problem today, and yesterday, is there aren't enough distribution channels for
artists to use to get their work out to the masses. Bit torrent seems like the best way to do it today IMO, and I've not seen many artists use it at all.
The one's that have, have been getting the press i.e. Trent Reznor, and too many indies to mention, etc. The way I look at it, is, if no one knows who you
are then they'll never buy your work, if 100 people downloaded this torrent, maybe they'll tell 100 or 50 or 10 other to do so, over time, there may be
opportunities which will open up, possibly a soul or 2 who will donate or BUY after TRYING. My work is all lo-fi, so the chance of it becoming a huge sensation
is slim to ZERO, but what the hell ya know? Its better than doing nothing, right?
Has anyone else thought of Bit Torrent as a distribution method?
