Axella, "Mama Never Told You About Me" is an awesome tune as well, the production is SWEET & the horns are quite a surprise at the end, I like. I also love the playfulness in your voice, very nice.

You know you kinda have a bluesy Annie Lennox-ness to your voice, ever hear that before?

Your bio looks great, need a few more links IMO. Especially where folks can purchase your records, donate funds in PayPal or get more of your MP3's. I'd also like to see a little background about each song, i.e. what record was it released on? lyrics if you want but that can be included in vers. 1.5, I assume you're prolly really excited to get this going hnuh?

btw are you ever going to share/let us hear "Save the World" ?

My first song that I ever wrote was called:

"I really don't Care"

I remember the day that I wrote it. I have a recording of it somewhere. Its the first time that I figured out that I could write some interesting (IMO) lyrics through stream on consciousness (sp?) and the rest as they say is my small and non-illustrious history + its still how I write a majority of my lyrics today though I really work on perfecting them.

I was a huge REM fan back then. I guess this is circa 1987, they hadn't even sold 100-200k records yet and combined with an even smaller band out of N. Carolina called the Connells which I saw/met at Blueberry Hill (Chuck Berry's bar) in St. Louis with less than 30 people, got me thinking seriously about songwriting. .

My first song was a complete ripoff of John Lennon's "She said she Said" chord wise (A-G-D) and lyric wise there's a few blatant ripoff's on Beatles lyrics as well as some off of songs off John's Double fantasy record:)

I'll share mine if you share yours LOL!

I will see what I have regarding photos. I've always been notoriously camera-shy, hate being photographed!

Unfortunately, I don't have a recording of my first song, though I remember part of the chorus went, "Save, save the world, save your mother and father and your brothers and sisters, save, save the world..." HAHAHAH!

No wonder my mother said it was horrible and told me to find another hobby (which meant that no one would hear one of my songs for years and years).

At the moment I have nothing at all set up for "selling"! If I did, it would probably just be singles via download? No idea. I'm embarrassed enough about the DAM CDs I once sold on MP3.com, and I would pay people to send them back to me for burning!

Nothing is mastered. That's the thing. I don't have the wherewithal to do that at the moment - not when I have a new bathroom going in this month.

1) I had to go into work today because a huge prospect called me late last night and is comtemplating a 6-figure order and I had a ton of tech/marketing and opps things to do to get ready for it tomorrow. I know I told you that we'd release your torrent today, but I am bush-wacked and need to relax a bit, OK? If I get the energy later thy will be done! If not, I promise that I'll find some time at work tomorrow to work on it and we'll release it then.

2) Do you have a paypalaccount? If not, would you mind if I added mine in your Bio? (five2media@yahoo.com) I regret not thinking of adding it to my first torrent. Let me know. I would be very interested to see if we get any donors. Does anyone know or has anyone hears any data which supports torrent files promoting generous donations from the DL'ers? I know radiohead and NIN all got donations from their releases -BUT they are radiohead and NIN, ya know? Heck even if each person who DL mine over the past 2 weeks gave an average of $0.10 that would be $30.00, now that doesn't sound like a whole like -BUT- average that over a year it comes out to $780.00. That's more than enough to finance actually paying a recording studio, etc. Get my thinking here you all?

3) DOES ANYONE HAVE ANY ADDITIONAL RECOMMENDATIONS, ADDITIONS, ETC. HERE? We're about to release torrent #2 and we want to do it right, you know? tia...

I did some data research today

Your .torrent is on the FRONT page of the Blues music downloads. Mine on the other hand is like on page 7 of the country music downloads.

I'm currently connected to a swarm with 28 people. The largest swarm mine has ever had is like 7.

Axella, I do believe we have a HIT on your hands here.

You're @ 72 DL after 16 hours -OR- 105.6 DL a day. over 700 DL a week, 2,800 a month.

I have stated before that I think this is a numbers game. The more DL you get, the more chance os something good happening. Like a sale or a donation.

Not wierd IMO just the futureof broadcasting and distribution.

Are you able to run stat reports on your website? If you do not know contact whoever is hosting it. Didn't 52media used to host yours a looooong time ago now that I think about it? Haha,you've always been on the same page as me Axie!

Let me know, I'd like to see what kind of bump in traffic, if any at all, comes from this over the next 30 days. If you can help spread the news, contact your local music rags, newspaper etc. and let them know what's going on.

Cool Avatar you got going Thomas...kinda like a Cobain thing happening. The acoustic set they did for unplugged was the best thing I saw or heard Nirvana do. But all the guys were visibly nervous, which added a uniqueness to the show, that has made it a classic that it is today.

I just had an hour conversation with my smarter older brother Jim who lives s in Jacksonville FL and who is 100 times more talented than I am.

He is also 100% ready to help us start promoting this unsigned artist campaign to his local media in Jacksonville FL with us. This totally reminds me of when I found out about MP3 technology back in 1998 without the corporate nature of promoting one web site here because we control it ourselves through the Bit Torrent networks ourselves. I believe this is going to be bigger in the long run and I can't wait to get more folks and resources involved here!!!

Do you all think contacting each of our city's local media outlets will be productive? I mean, as much as P2P and MP3 technologies opened up many doors for us with digital distribution, this new method is so much more efficient because its not just "1 to 1" its "many to many" utilising everyone's current 'net access. So in actuality, there really is no reason for a band to pay a company to host their web site anymore, they can include everything that they want potential fans to have in a BitTorent file so they can take it with them anywhere they go. Saving them a lot of money as well as making ART/MUSIC, etc. a portable 'thing' once again like vinyl records, cassette tapes and CD's.

I know that is completely unorthodox in today's world but it makes sense doesn't it???
